Position Summary:

The Sanitation position is responsible for executing daily facility and environment tasks in accordance with the sanitation schedule. This position works with and around large processing equipment utilizing hand tools, hot water, pressurized water, steam and chemicals to complete the sanitation process.

Responsibilities:

•Ensure consistent cleanliness that meets the hygiene standard of assigned equipment and plant areas as per Standard Operating Procedures
•Understand and apply safe chemical handling practices and use of chemicals
•Understand and apply safety requirements for assigned tasks and equipment (eg. Guarding, lock-out/tag-out, fall arrest)
•Disassembly and assembly of equipment parts
•Work with CIP systems, tanks, pumps, piping and other equipment
•Minor preventative maintenance care of sanitation equipment and process equipment
•Self audit sanitation process through visual and microbial swab inspection
•Continuously look for ways to improve cleaning practices
