Manager, Human Resources – Business Partnering
The Opportunity:
Operating as a business partner for their assigned functions, the HR Manager plays an integral role in all aspects of talent management (performance, development, recruitment, recognition, engagement, etc.) and leads or supports the execution of company-wide people programs and initiatives.
The HR Manager brings a passion for providing value add HR support coupled with a proven track record of contributing to high performing cultures.
 A snap shot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do:
  • Understand priorities/challenges of assigned functions and proactively partner to resolve
  • Deeply understand talent picture and establish plans to close any gaps
  • Support a diverse and inclusive Values based culture
  • Execute People processes and drive HR priorities
  • Work with HR Centres of Excellence to support fully integrated and holistic HR solution
  • Prepare and deliver various training programs and team building sessions
  • Actively engage and coach staff on Maple Leaf Values including day to day application
  • Lead execution of organizational development and change management initiatives
  • Guide people in understanding and applying various policies and procedures
  • Actively pursue process improvement activities

What you will bring:
  • 5+ years in progressively responsible HR generalist/business partner roles
  • 2+ years at Manager level
  • Post secondary education in Human Resources or Labour Relations
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and teach others
  • Possess a strong business acumen – viewed as a business person who is an expert in HR
  • Strong knowledge of HR trends, practices, and legislation
  • Exceptional communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and influencing skills with various organizational levels
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation abilities
  • Recognized as a problem solver with a team first orientation
  • Demonstrated success and experience in consulting with leaders on complex HR issues
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities by applying strong time-management/organizational skills
  • Consistent demonstration of Maple Leaf Foods Leadership Values
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Strong desire to continually develop skills and knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience in Manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Experience with SAP and mySuccess would be an asset
