Position Description

Located in Turners Falls, MA and hours will be 10pm-8am

Lightlife Foods Inc. has an immediate opening for a Sanitation Lead. This position is located at our plant in Turners Falls, MA.

Responsibilities:
  • Will lead, mentor, manage, and guide sanitation staff to company standards
  • Schedule the primary placement and rotation for all positions in the department
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices following all sanitation and process procedures and guidelines, including understand the chemicals used during the sanitation process
  • Successfully complete sanitation training to new and existing employees as needed
  • Participate in department meetings and conduct daily team stretch exercises prior to start of shift
  • Cross train in other departments as needed, including learning how all equipment operates and is dismantled for cleaning
  • Communication suggestions for improving safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Report any equipment concerns to the appropriate staff member
  • Record and document all necessary information in a complete and concise manner
  • Ensure the rotation of employees to different areas throughout the work day
  • Will need to understand the production schedule and urgency of any production related issues
  • Additional duties may be assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Food Manufacturing experience preferred but not required
  • Previous experience supervising others
  • Organized, good time management skills, and attention to detail
  • A good team player with the ability to follow direction from others
  • Must follow the company values, policies, and procedures
  • Above average computer skills including the ability to read, write, and understand basic math
  • Must have a reliable mode of transportation or pre-arranged transportation for desired shift
